Bald is Beautiful

Bald is beautiful, right?? These boys are both losing their hair and as my sister would say, they are looking strug!!! I try to scrub that bottom, thick patch to hurry the process along! This makes 3 bald guys in my house :)

P.S.-The boys slept straight until 4:00 A.M. this morning and it was wonderful!!!

Our Friend Miller

This is our friend, Miller...
He comes over to play with us a lot and we love it!! We were really young when we first met him...
It's hard to believe we will be in the same grade one day because we are so much smaller!
It will be even more fun when we can all really play together!

Our daddies grew up together and are still best friends. Our mommies were college roommates so, whether we like each other or not, we will be best friends too ;)
Will thought it would be hilarious for Hunter to "ride" Scout!

3 Months

On Monday, Hunter and Hays turned 3 months old! These pictures are so hard to take now and I know they are only going to get harder when they're mobile! They are growing, especially in length. Some of their 3 month pants outfits are already too short! Keep in mind they are only really the size of a 1/1/2 month old. Hays is still pretty skinny, but his face is filling out more. Hunter is just beginning to get some rolls :)

Hays
Nickname: Itty
Still has a sweet and gentle personality. LOVES to be held, so he cries a lot during naps!! Is very bright eyed. When he's awake, his eyes are wide open staring at everything. He is very observant and takes everything in. He has rolled over, but doesn't do it often. He's very active on his activity mat and bouncy seat. Side note: While the boys were in the NICU they had a hearing test. Hays "referred" in his left ear. That just meant he didn't pass the hearing test and they were referring him to an audiologist for further testing. We had our follow-up appointment a couple of weeks ago and he still failed in his left ear. What this means right now is that he can not hear out of his left ear. There is still a chance it could be from immaturity or fluid on his ear. We will go back in 6 months and then 6 months after that before they do any diagnostic testing. The great news is that he can hear 100% in his right ear! This means that even if he can never hear in his left ear, his body will adjust to only hearing out of one ear. His speech and language shouldn't be affected at all, which is a huge blessing!

Hunter
Nickname: Bug
His personality has changed A LOT in the past month. He is a very content and happy baby. He smiles all the time without me even doing anything. Now, he's still dramatic and if he wants something, you better act fast :) Loves to hear me or Will talk and would sit there and listen to us forever. Hasn't rolled over yet. During tummy time he usually spreads his arms out flat and lays his head down as if he's saying "I love my tummy!" Absolutely loves his paci and I dread the day we have to wean him off of that!

Overall, they are good babies. Naps are rough some days and wonderful the next. Nights are so much better! They are only waking up once now to be fed around 2:45 or 3:00. Hays is always the one that wakes up for that feeding, but I feed them both. Then Hunter is always the one that wakes up about 6:15. I can usually give him his paci and he's good until about 6:45 or 7:00. I have enjoyed seeing them "come alive" over the past few weeks and I can't wait to see how much they change in another month. I'm loving being a mom to these boys and I'm certain that even on the bad days it's what I've been called to do. I have started to get out more often. We finally made it to church and I've been on several errands with the boys, but always with another adult. I have yet to venture out in public by myself with them!!! Maybe next month :)

Update

Here are some pictures from the last couple of weeks. We are enjoying the BEAUTIFUL weather and I will post some pictures of them outside soon. Hunter and Hays are both becoming more interactive and it's really fun! Also, the nights are getting WAY better! I realized a couple of weeks ago that Hays was waking up twice at night out of habit instead of hunger. I would go into their room, pick Hays up and he would fall right back asleep in my arms. If he wasn't hungry at 1:00 A.M. then I certainly didn't want to be up feeding him! Hays buddy, I love hanging out with you, but not at 1:00 and 4:00 A.M.!!! So, I took some friends' advice and decided to let him "cry it out". The first night was absolutely horrible. He cried and cried and cried. I went into his room every 10-20 minutes to give him his paci and pat his head. He kept going back to sleep and wasn't even acting hungry until 3:00 A.M. so that's when I fed them. They made it until 7:00 after that! Since then Hays has gotten better and better. Last night I fed them at 10:00 and Hays didn't wake up until 2:15. I put in his paci once and then he woke back up at 3:00 ready to eat. YEAH!!! Mommy feels way more rested.
Will and I had a date night to Bonefish while D.D. and Grandad kept the boys.

Hays
(He is smiling more, but I STILL can't get a picture! I tried today several times, but he won't do it for the camera yet!)
Will thinks it's so fun to put the boys in the bed with him! Nobody sleeps, they just lay there and talk :)
(yes, that is Scout in there too!!)

Hanging out in the bed with Daddy.

They fell asleep while I was cleaning up their bath stuff. I let them sleep together which they don't do anymore. It only lasted about 30 minutes because one of them hit the other one in the face and they both woke up crying :)

I love these little outfits!!
Hunter refused to cooperate without his paci!
