Hannah Grace's 2nd Birthday Party

Back in November, our niece Hannah Grace, turned 2 !  She had a Dora Birthday Party and we were so glad we were there to celebrate with her!

Hays was in LOVE with Hannah Grace's new kitchen!!!  He played with it most of the day!

Hays also enjoyed a ride with his friend Hudson!  The funniest thing to me about these pictures is that they are going to be in the same grade!!!  Hudson is really big for his age and Hays is tiny for his!  haha

Happy 2nd Birthday Hannah Grace!

Okay...Let me explain!

Let me explain why I haven't been blogging and please forgive me!!  The past month has been a whirlwind for the Ainsworth family!
  • We spent Christmas with my family in Mississippi and had a blast.  All 4 of us children were home, plus 4 grandchildren, and my grandmother.  We all stayed about 1 week and hardly ever left the house!  My sister's 2 kids came with a virus from Charlotte and my 2 boys came from Alabama with another one!  When we arrived in Tupelo, Hays was running 102 fever.  For the remainder of the week we battled coughing, snotty noses, and cranky kids.  I know it doesn't sound like much fun, but somehow, with us all together it was!
  • We came home a couple days before New Years to plan our sweet boys' 1st Birthday Party!!!  It was a big bash including lots of dear friends who prayed fervently alongside us for Hunter and Hays.  It was a special time and I will share more about it in another post.
  • 2 days after that we were off with Daddy to 2 deer shows.  One in Dallas and one in St. Louis.  The day before we left Hunter and Hays were still battling this sickness since Christmas.  I took them to the doctor and they both had double ear infections!  We started Amoxicillin that night and he assured us that we would see improvement in the next couple of days.  WRONG!  On the way to Dallas, Hunter began running a fever (103) and would continue to do this for the next 3 days.  He woke up every 3 or 4 hours during the night and was just pitiful!  After that, I began to see the light at the end of the tunnel!  By St. Louis, both boys were pretty much back to their old selves!  Until... Hunter started throwing up on the way home!!!
  • We got back home Saturday night and attempted to get settled back in after what seemed like an eternity!  On Tuesday Hunter began running a fever again and by Wednesday morning Hays was too.  We went back to the doctor and he said it's probably another virus!  AHHHHHH!  Today is Thursday and so far nobody has run fever and they don't seem to be as fussy as they have been.  I just want my happy baby boys back :(
  • So, does everyone understand why I haven't been blogging??  I promise, over the next few weeks days I will attempt to catch up on our last month of life.
  • Apart from the sickness, this age is so much fun!!  They are attempting to say a few words, clapping their hands, walking behind toys, walking around tables, climbing on chairs, discovering the toilet and how to flush it (HAYS!), understanding where things are when I ask them, and smiling A LOT!  We love them so much!

Update!

All of these pictures are out of order and random, but this is the only blogging style I have time for these days!!!  I have realized lately how little I get done around the house with 2 almost 1-year-olds hanging on my leg!

This is at Grandad and D.D.'s house a few weeks ago...
Hunter is holding a sippy cup, which makes you think I'm really good at giving them one every single day to practice with.  NOT!  I always forget!  Who knows when they will learn how to do that :)

This is just an example of the things I hand them while changing their diaper.  They remain occupied a lot longer with anything that isn't a toy!  Here Hays is chewing on the brush(that I've never used by the way).

I just still love seeing them stand up in their cribs.  This is Hunter...

Hays' favorite by far is books!!  He will crawl clear across the room if you start saying "Brown Bear, Brown Bear!"  He listens intently to every book you read and he loves to turn the pages.
I never posted pics from Halloween!  Every year we host a Halloween party and it is so fun!!  This year I was an Auburn cheerleader and Will was Cam Newton-our quarterback, in case you haven't heard of him ;)
Hunter and Hays were tigers!

This is them with Miller Mastin.
Does anyone remember this picture??
They are catching up!

This is what they did when they first saw each other as tigers...
Taken with my phone, but too cute to pass up!

Hunter being a stinker and trying to take off Hays' diaper.  Hays is oblivious!

They are loving bath time these days!!!

This is Hudson Picklesimer in the middle and he is going to be in the same grade as the boys.  He is huge for his age and Hays is tiny, so they look particularly hilarious together!

They loved the dishwasher at Grandad and D.D.'s !
I think I've posted a picture of this before, but an Amish man made this for them and it is so neat!

So behind!!!

I am so behind on blogging that I don't even know where to start!!  I also realized that I downloaded a lot of pictures from the last few weeks onto my parents computer, so I'll have to get those at some point!  Hunter and Hays are 10 months now and are ALL OVER THE PLACE!  They absolutely will not stay in our sunroom/playroom, because they would rather roam ito the kitchen or down the hallway.  In fact, 2 weeks ago, I was in the kitchen fixing their lunch.  I heard Scout (our dog) chomping down on his food...OR SO I THOUGHT!!!  It was Hunter.  He had an entire mouth full of dog food.  Thankfully, I don't think he swallowed(or choked!) on any!  They are both pulling up on everything too.  Laundry baskets, legs, boxes, garbage cans, you name it!  Hunter will let go sometimes just to see what happens.  They babble all the time now too, though still haven't associated a word with an object or person yet.  The only new food we have tried is egg and turkey and they like both.  Their favorite foods(yes, they both like the same foods the best!) are cheese, bananas, and cheerios hands down!  I guess it's because they can feed this to themselves.  They are also eating acorn squash, cauliflower, butternut squash, carrots, broccoli (Hunter isn't a fan), sweet potatoes, asparagus(by far their favorite green), pumpkin(we tried today for the first time), pears, apples, and plums, and yogurt.  They are consistently taking 2 naps and still an occasional 3rd nap if they need it.  They are so much fun right now and just love to play!  I put them down and they love to explore!    For now, that is my update and here are the pictures I have on my camera...

We visited Grandad and D.D.'s house and took our first wagon ride...

We were amazed by the cat...
We loved exploring the pantry...
D.D. read us books...

Caroline Kahlstorf came over to play...

We talked to Grandad on the floor...
We had to bundle up for the first time...

Hunter
Hays
Hunter loved pulling up on everything in the house!
Now...we are back at our house playing with a box of diapers...

We have great low windows and they love to look out...

This is a very typical pose for both boys.  Hunter crawling or rocking and Hays sitting on his knees like this...
Come on everybody!!  Daddy's passing out scraps!!
Playing with our friend from church, Scarlett
So, random...but this is the very first time that Hays pulled up!  It was taken about a month ago.

They both love to read, but Hays does especially.  He loves to turn the pages!  He chooses the book basket over the toy basket every single time.

Crawling on Daddy is always a favorite!
